The Southern Nevada Water Authority is reporting that if Las Vegas residents keep up their current rate of water consumption, there might not be any drinking water left by 2010. Conservation efforts have started, as there is a drought alert in place, but the SNWA still says even if all the new pipe building and replacement at Lake Mead and water restriction practises are in place there will still be a shortage.
