Viva La Graceland: Elvis "tribute-artists" finally get props

In honour of Elvis Presley's death, Graceland has officially agreed to hold an Elvis "tribute-artist" competition, as they like to call it (impersonator doesn't fly in those circles). The opening rounds were held Sunday and marks the first activities in a week long celebration marking the 30th aniversary of Presley's death. If you want to check out or hire your own impersonator, here is a complete list for your perusal.

Since Presley's death on Aug. 16, 1977, Graceland managers have had little to do with the thousands of Elvis impersonators haunting the concert halls and barrooms of the world, regarding them at best as minor pests and at worst as downright embarrassments.
