Reality show host Ty Pennington arrested-AP

Reality star Ty Pennington of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Ty was arrested late Saturday night in Los Angeles and later released. He has to be back in court on June 4. Since his arrest Ty has issued a statement, saying that he made an error in judgment and that he made a mistake.

Ty Pennington has certainly carved out a niche for himself as the lovable, off-the-wall, hunk-of-a-carpenter and home design guru.

Pennington, 42, was booked on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs while driving, the TMZ.com Web site reported.
